WE NEED MONEY TO SURVIVE IN THE MIDST OF COVID-19 - NEWLY RECRUITED TEACHERS (2018 BATCH)
Tuesday, April 14, 2020
It's a fact that the world is not in normal times. We are at war with an invisible enemy, Coronavirus (COVID-19). In the midst of this, everyone needs the needed support in order to abide fully by Government's directives to avoid the spread of the virus.
Sadly, some section of the public sector workers especially the Newly Recruited teachers (2018 batch) in Ghana have not been paid for almost 5 months now (December 2019 to April 2020). Some of our colleagues haven't received their Staff IDs to do biometric registration for payment of salaries before the COVID-19 outbreak.
We are really suffering in this era where no one is allowed to do any other work to feed his/herself. The directive is #StayHome. How do we feed ourselves without money? We all need support to fight the virus together.
We appeal to GES, MoE to engage MoF and CAGD to design a system to pay us without the biometric registration in the meantime.
We also need to feed ourselves, loved once and our families.
Hon. Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh (Minister of Education) and Prof. Kwasi Opuku Amakwa (Director General of GES) must act now.
#PayNewlyRecruitedTeachersNow
Thanks.
