Ketu South: Person's with Disabilities receives support.


          The Ketu South municipal assembly  in the Volta, has made donated items worth GHc 139,641.00  to Persons With Disabilities in the Municipality.
    The donation is to  support Persons With Disabilities, especially those who have applied for an assistance from the District Assembly Common Fund to start businesses on their own in other to make living  comfortable. 
Out of more than hundred PWDs who applied for support, only 63 applications have been approved to benefit from this Capital and other packages for now.
        According to the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Elliot Agbenorwu, he said  the items were given out to the beneficiaries based on their needs and what they themselves requested for from the government and therefore  urged them to make good use of what they have now to earn a living for themselves.
 The beneficiaries are made up of 33 males and 30 females drawn from professionals and artisans, students and some unemployed. They were supported in various sectors such as education, economic empowerment and mobility service. Items distributed were industrial machines such as foot and leather sewing machines, Fridges, hair dryer, laptop computer, corn mill machine, 25 packages of provisions and  capitals to help them established their businesses.
    The beneficiaries expressed their joy and are grateful to the government and all supporting persons who have put smile on their faces.
