A 30-YEAR-OLD AUTHOR APPEALS FOR PUBLIC SUPPORT


A 30-year-old prolific novelist, storyteller, essayist, bibliophile, and freelance editor, Richard Paa Kofi Botchwey is appealing for financial support to fight for his life.

Richard has been suffering a rare medical condition called Vestibular Migraine and Vertigo Balance Disorder since July, 2020. The condition overtime, has left Richard on the verge losing his vital organs, his speech and memory.
A CT/MRI Report in December, 2020 indicated that Richard’s situation had deteriorated into a Multiple Sclerosis, thereby reducing his quality of life. Richard in his current situation finds it very difficult to sit up for minutes, or concentrate in his thoughts, and partially losing his speech. The situation is also compounded with daily battle of beeping sounds in the ears and head.

After many tests and diagnosis in Ghana, Richard Paa Kofi Botchwey has been referred to undergo a brain surgery in India at a cost of $30,000 (GHC 175,000.00)

The brilliant author is therefore appealing to the general public to help with financial donations to save his life, and writing career.

Before his condition, Richard Paa Kofi Botchwey has published THE TALE OF AN ORPHAN: A Lesson to Learn and MY SHOES DON’T FIT: A Young Man’s Conversation with God. He is also the winner of the 2015 African Youth Award for Literacy in Excellence.
