HOHOE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY CONFIRMS NOBLE DANIEL AWUME AS MCE

Assembly members of the Hohoe Municipal Assembly and Government appointees on Thursday 30th September 2021 by majority votes, confirmed President Akufo-Addo’s nominee, Noble Daniel Awume as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Hohoe Municipal Assembly.
Mr. Noble Daniel Awume was endorsed by 17 out of the 24 Assembly members and government appointees representing 70.8% of the voters who turned up to vote in the exercise supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) at the Municipal Office.
The occasion had in attendance, the Minister for Railway Development and Member of Parliament for the Hohoe Constituency, Hon John- Peter Amewu, the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, Ambassador Rashid Bawa, Regional and Constituency Party Executives, Chiefs and Queen mothers of the Gbi Traditioanal Council among other dignitaries.
In his acceptance speech, the MCE, Hon. Noble Daniel Awume, thanked the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for appointing him as well as the assembly members and government appointees for the confidence reposed in him to steer affairs in the Hohoe Municipality.
“My gratitude goes to the President, his Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo for the nomination to serve the people of the great Hohoe Municipality”.
He also thanked the hardworking and dynamic member of Parliament Hon. John-Peter Amewu, the Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Letsa for ensuring Hohoe sees massive development and also to the outgoing MCE, Hon Teddy Ofori for holding the fort and contributing his quota to keep the municipality running.
Hon Awume pledged his commitment to the development of the Hohoe Municipality adding that his doors are open for fruitful advice and contributions to the wellbeing of the area.
“We must all put our hands-on deck to move Hohoe Municipality to the next level it deserves. We have a lot of work to do to make sure our environment is sanitized, our water and sanitation issues are improved, and there is general discipline and sanity on our roads”.
He added that, “If it must be done it must be done well” so all MDA’s and other stakeholders would have to join hands with him to make it happen. He said with the synergies of the great Hohoe people, himself, the Regional Minister and honorable MP and Minister for Railway Development and the visionary president at the helm of affairs of the country, Hohoe will surely reach its cherished destination.
