Keta: Duamenefa Foundation donates to Keta Municipal Hospital.

The Duamenefa Foundation in collaboration with Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, a Geo-Technical Engineer based in USA of California have donated items to the Keta Municipal Hospital,Keta on the 16th December 2021.
The Foundation and their counterpart donated items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to support the Male and Children Wards of the Hospital.
The male ward receives three (3) pulse oximeters, two (2) double-head stethoscopes, two (2) infrared thermometers, two (2) rolling medicine tray tables and three (3) 4-fold screen dividers.
The children’s ward received a nicely renovated room with creatively designed vinyl wallpaper with tricycles, chairs and table, toys, balloons, a push car, child’s basketball game and library books to set up a play room within the facility.
During the presentation, the International Director of Operations of the Duamenefa Foundation, Rev Diane Westcott noted that the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation who doubles as the CEO of Fafaa Fm, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe and his first cousin, Dr. David Kotei Nutakor of California, USA were birthed at the Keta Hospital hence their love and thought to reach out to the hospital and make it one of the very best in the Volta Region of Ghana.
She added that, Dr. Nutakor adopted the children’s ward in memory of his late parents, Leonard Besa Gbede Nutakor and Sabina Atsemuyo Evortepe, and the Foundation also adopted the male ward which they both want to help see improvements.
She further recounted that in February 2020, the children’s ward received a 65” plasma television with satellite hookup, followed through the year with complete painting of the inside and outside with curtains to match.
Duamenefa Foundation following suit, also donated 32” televisions with satellite links to every room in the male ward, in addition several touch-free hand sanitizer dispensers, bottles of sanitizer, hand cloths and electronic hand dryers to help fight the COVID-19 disease.
She finally stated that, the Foundation and Dr. Nutakor will continue their hearts’ desire to assist in making Keta Municipal Hospital the best in Volta Region.
The Medical Superintendent of the Keta Municipal Hospital, Dr. Antoinette Ekuban and the shift nurse in charge of the children’s ward, Boateng Irene, received the items and expressed gratitude to Duamenefa Foundation and Dr. Nutakor for their kind gesture noting that the items came at the right time to help them address some of the problems the wards are facing.
Present at the ceremony were Togbi James Ocloo V, the Divisional Chief of Keta, Mama Tokormi Bayevu II, Executive Board Members of the Duamenefa Foundation, Rev. DM Banini, Rev. Dr. Raymond Sogah, the General Manager of Fafaa Fm, Mr. Romeo Dravie, the representative of the Nutakor family at home, Catechist James Nutakor, among others.
Togbi James Ocloo used the occasion to appeal to other well-meaning Ghanaians at home and abroad to make effort to support the hospital with at least two dialysis machines because the hospital lacks such important equipment.
The hospital staff and patients praised the name of God Almighty for the life of the stakeholders of the Duamenefa Foundation and their foreign counterparts for their efforts to make the Keta Municipality Hospital the best in the region.
