Six Arrested Over Illegal Transaction of Arms.

The Ghana Police Service have arrested six persons for their involvement in the transaction of an AK 47 gun illegally.
The suspects namely Alhassan Jamah, Bashiru Salifu, Kassim Aninga, Mohammed Asako,Salifu James and Ibrahim Mohammed were arrested on December 3rd,2021 for involving that criminal act.
According to the Press release by the, the first suspect Alhassan Jamah was arrested at Osino by the National Operations Directorate High ways Patrol team during a stop and search operation conducted on a vehicle in which he was on board towards Bawku. He caught with an AK 47 rifle with twelve round ammunition in his bag.
Through an intelligence-led operation later led to the arrest of five more suspects.
The statement also states that, the Suspects are in police custody assisting the Police in investigations.
The Police is assuring the general public of their safety.
