HUDSON-ODOI TO PLAY FOR GHANA?

Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to switch nationality to play for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars.
Photos of Bismark Odoi, the father of Hudson Odoi in a meeting with Chris Hughton have surfaced on social media as many believe the purpose of the said meeting is to convince Hudson-Odoi to play for Ghana, the country of his parents. Sixty-three year old Chris who is currently in the country is tipped as the favorite replacement for Milovan Rajevac after the latter was axed last week over the abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the ongoing AFCON 2021.
Chris Hughton has a good track record of managing clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United.
Hudson Odoi is still eligible to play for Ghana despite representing England’s senior national team. Per FIFA eligibility rules, a player who has played less than four games for one nation before the age of 21 can switch nationality.
The potential switch has already got Ghanaian football fans excited as the twenty-one year old prolific winger will be a huge boost for the ailing Black Stars.
