GBC and Blue Skies Company Ltd receives training on RTI Law.

The Right to Information Commission has intensified its public education on the Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989). The intensified education is for the Commission to get to every Public Institution so that they can know their rights and obligations under Act 989.
In view of this, the Commission has this week educated one solely owned government institution, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) on 6th July, 2022 and Blue Skies Company Limited, a private organisation that performs a public function, according to Section 84 of Act 989 on 7th July, 2022.
Both training sessions were very interactive and offered employees of these institutions the opportunity to ask questions pertaining to the law.
The Head of Legal, Governance, Regulatory and Research Department of the Commission who is also the lead trainer on the sensitization train for the Commission, Stephen Owusu Esq., admonished participants to be more attentive to the law and help in the smooth implementation of the law since that will bring about accountability and transparency in our public discourse.
He reiterated that the doors of the Commission are always opened to the general public for engagements and collaborations.
