Jasikan(Buem): MCE Commissioned CHIPS Compound with 2-bedroom Nurses Quarters at Akaa.




The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Mrs. Elizabeth Kessewah Anim – Adjornor commissioned a newly built CHPS compound with 2-bedroom Nurses Quarters for the people of Akaa – Buem within the Jasikan municipality.
During the the sod cutting ceremony on 24th October,2022, the MCE made a pledge to the people of Akaa – Buem to see to the completion of the project within a very short period.

The project was constructed within a period of four months and was fully funded by the DACF – RFG.

Speaking at a short commissioning ceremony, the MCE emphasized on the need to bring primary health care services, especially maternal and child health care closer to the people of Akaa – Buem.
She cautioned against the mishandling of public properties and asked that the Health Workers and the General Public who will be using the facility practice maintenance culture to the highest level they can.
“Health and Education is my topmost priority and that is why in a space of 2 weeks, I commissioned the Mortuary and today I am commisioning this one too”. The following ongoing projects; the Kudje CHIPS Compound, Dormitory at Okashtech,and the 6-unit classrom block at Akaa – Quarters will also see the light of day, she said.

The MCE also assured the good people of Buem of her continuous efforts to use her good office for developmental projects that will serve the people positively.
Hon. Elizabeth also used the occasion to highlight some key achievements of the NPP government over the period and urged the people to rally behind the New patriotic party government to bring more developmental works to the municipality.

She expressed her gratitude to the benevolent citizens who have been supporting the Akaa Community in terms of developments and called in them to be united.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Nana Oppong Kyekyeku V, Chief of Akaa and the Abremponghene of Buem Traditional Area thanked the MCE and Nana Addo – Bawumia led government for remembering Akaa – Buem in the sharing of the National Cake.

“This project is of great importance to us and I pray that the health workers and the general public give it the maintenance it deserves to stand the test of time”.
Nana Oppong reiterated that everyone must obey rules made available at the facility. The Chief also urged the MCE and government of their continuous support to deliver on the mandate given to them. He also used the occasion to call on all well-meaning individuals from Akaa who are home and abroad to continually visit home so that together they develop Akaa for posterity. He also thanked those who are already helping to develop Akaa most especially the Nkosuohene, Nana Amponsah I.

The happiness and joy on the faces of the people of Akaa – Buem could not be hidden, a clear expression of appreciation to the government for this project. The CHIPS is made up of a Consulting room, Male Ward, Female Ward, an OPD, Maternity Ward, Resting place and a 2- Nurses Quarters.
This commissioned CHIPS Compound makes it the Third project that is commissioned by the MCE in a space of Two Weeks.

In attendance was the Nkosuohene of Akaa Buem – Nana Ntem Bediako Amponsah I, DCE for Akan, NPP Oti Regional Communications Director – Hon. Musah Seidu, Past and Present Constituency Executives from Buem and Biakoye, Divisional Police Commander, Regional and Kadjebi-Akan Managers of NHIS.
