Kparekpare Local Council of Churches supports CHPS Compound Project

Kparekpare, Oti Region – The Kparekpare Local Council of Churches has made a generous donation of cement bags to the Chief and Elders, the Assembly Member, and the staff of the Kparekpare CHPS compound. The donation is aimed at aiding the ongoing construction of a laboratory complex and a resting room at the health facility.

The brief but significant presentation ceremony took place at the CHPS compound, where members of the community, including traditional leaders and health workers, gathered to receive the items. The donation is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the completion of the facility, which has long been anticipated by residents.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Local Council of Churches, Pastor Amos Dadzie, emphasized the importance of community support and the role of the Church in local development.
“This is the way the local churches can support the community,” Pastor Dadzie stated. “We believe in not only preaching the gospel but also responding to the physical and social needs of our people. A functional health facility benefits everyone, and we are happy to be part of this noble cause.”
The Chief of Kparekpare, along with the Assembly Member and health staff, expressed deep gratitude to the Council for the timely intervention. According to health officials, the completion of the laboratory and resting room will significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the area.
The Kparekpare CHPS compound serves a growing population and has faced infrastructural challenges over the years. The new laboratory and staff resting space, once completed, are expected to improve diagnostic services and provide better working conditions for healthcare workers.
This gesture by the Kparekpare Local Council of Churches is being hailed as a model for faith-based community involvement and underscores the potential for collaboration between religious bodies and development stakeholders.
