Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Dambai -District honours outstanding BECE Graduate


In a heartwarming and colourful ceremony, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Kparekpare Congregation, has honoured Miss Precious Kamangma, a young scholar from Kparekpare Victory Basic School, for her exceptional performance in the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Miss Kamangma, who achieved an impressive aggregate of 12, was celebrated as the Best BECE Graduate from her school.

The event, held at the church auditorium at Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Emmanuel Congregation, Kparekpare brought together clergy, educationists, parents, and members of the community to recognize and reward academic excellence among the youth.
Among the dignitaries present were Reverend Emmanuel Owusu Brobbey, District Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana-Dambai District; Mr. George Eworyi, Director of Presbyterian Church Schools; and Mr. Wisdom Soglo, Chairperson of the Education Committee.

In his address, Rev. Brobbey commended Miss Kamangma for her dedication, discipline, and commitment to her studies, which he described as exemplary and worthy of emulation. He urged other students to take their academics seriously, assuring them that the church would continue to recognize and reward excellence.

As part of the recognition, Rev. Owusu Brobbey presented a trunk, a mattress, and an undisclosed sum of money to support Miss Kamangma as she progressed to the senior high school level. In addition, he extended a cash donation to the teaching staff of Kparekpare Victory Basic School as motivation to continue their tireless efforts in nurturing future leaders.

Expressing her joy and appreciation, Miss Precious Kamangma thanked the Presbyterian Church and the entire congregation for their immense support and encouragement. She pledged to continue working hard to achieve even greater success, promising to return home with a single-digit aggregate after her WASSCE.
Her father, Mr. Daniel Kamangma, also expressed deep gratitude to the church for its continuous investment in the education of the youth. He encouraged parents to prioritize their children’s education and urged students to study diligently, reminding them that hard work and determination always yield results.

Speaking on behalf of the Education Committee, Mr. Wisdom Soglo emphasized the importance of consistent preparation and dedication towards academic excellence. He noted that education remains the most powerful tool for transforming lives and building a brighter future, urging both parents and students to invest in learning as a means of personal and community development.

The event concluded with joyful songs of praise and thanksgiving, as the congregation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education and nurturing young talents.

This recognition by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana-Dambai District, not only celebrates the achievements of Miss Kamangma but also reinforces the Church’s pivotal role in promoting education, discipline, and moral values in the community.
