The drive to strengthen education across the South Dayi District received a major boost yesterday as the District Chief Executive, Hon. Courage Kokroko, together with the chiefs and people of Peki Dzake, commissioned a newly completed 4-unit teachers’ quarters for the community.
The facility marks a significant milestone in improving the working and living conditions of teachers, while enhancing the overall education ecosystem within the district.
Commending the successful delivery of the project, appreciation was extended to the Hon. DCE and the South Dayi District Assembly, the Honourable Member of Parliament, and all stakeholders whose collective commitment made the project possible. Their teamwork demonstrates the remarkable progress that can be achieved when leadership and community join forces for development.
The project also aligns with government’s forward-thinking policy ensuring that every new classroom block is complemented by decent accommodation for teachers. This approach is already yielding positive results—boosting teacher motivation, supporting retention in rural communities, and ensuring that every child has access to quality education regardless of location.
As a region, the commitment remains firm: to continue supporting initiatives that uplift schools, empower teachers, and provide children with conducive learning environments. Collaboration with assemblies, MPs, traditional and religious authorities, and development partners will remain central to sustaining this momentum in educational development.
