Oti Regional Minister advocates for permanent ORC Office during registration clinic visit

The Oti Region inched closer to improved business accessibility this morning as the Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong, paid a working visit to the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) outreach center. He was warmly received by the Deputy Registrar of Companies, Mr. Benjamin Zigorsh-Nyakpenu, along with the ORC team and regional leadership.
The visit formed part of the ongoing Business Registration and Sensitization Clinic, a nationwide initiative by the ORC designed to bring essential services closer to the public, promote business formalization, and deepen awareness of compliance with company regulations.
Addressing participants, Mr. Zigorsh-Nyakpenu highlighted the ORC’s mandate under the Companies Act and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to widening access to registration services. He noted that although the ORC currently operates from five regional offices, regions without permanent facilities—such as Oti—remain a priority through periodic mobile services and outreach clinics.
In a significant appeal, Hon. Gyapong formally requested the establishment of a permanent ORC office in the Oti Region, stressing that such a facility would greatly enhance business registration, improve accessibility, and support the region’s growing entrepreneurial landscape.
The engagement ended on a hopeful note, with both parties expressing dedication to strengthening institutional presence and advancing business development across the region.
