COVID-19: ORANGE FM DONATES GH50,000 AIRTIME TO ASHANTI REGIONAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE TOWARDS CORONAVIRUS SENSITISATION.


Orange 107.9, a member of Focus 1 Media - owners of Pluzz FM, Beach FM, Spice FM and Ofie FM; has donated 50,000Ghs worth of airtime to the Ashanti Regional Health Directorate towards COVID-19 sensitisation.

The donation was made on Thursday 23rd April 2020,  to the Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Emmanuel Tenkorang, by Management of Orange FM & Directors Of Focus1Media.

"On behalf of Ghana Health Service -Ashanti Region, I will like to thank you for coming. This donation of airtime is very important as far as this period is concerned - as need to share a lot of information and especially educate people on what to do and not to do so as to prevent the infection and maybe curtail further transmission," he expressed his gratitude.

In the breakdown, Orange Fm, has given to the Regional Health Directorate, two hours every Saturday for the next 13 weeks to sensitize people on COVID19. That means, every Saturday from 7am to 9am, the directorate would come to the studios of Orange 107.9 inside the Kumasi City Mall with experts to thoroughly sensitize listeners on the pandemic.

Both parties are committed to see this through and also pay attention to other healthcare issues post COVID-19.

Mr Tenkorang also added that, they would work closely with Orange FM even after COVID-19 in other areas where healthcare delivery in Ashanti Region and other parts of the region is concerned.
