Oti: Chief shot by unknown gunmen.

The chief of Gyengyen, a farming community in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti region,Nana Atta Kpebu ll has been shot by unknown gunman at his resident.

This sad incident happened in the late hours of 8pm after the chief  escorted a friend who came to paid a courtesy visit to him and on his way back to his room got shot by the unknown gunmen.

The bullets penetrated and spread around his testicles.

Speaking to the media,the young man who rushed to help the chief said, he overhead the chief calling for help and he quickly rush to the scene and saw Nana Kpebu was lying down helpless and with the help of other neighbors rushed him to the hospital. 

Nana  was rushed to the Krachi West Municipal Hospital but was later referred to the 37 Military hospital for further treatment.

The police and the MCE Hon. Emmanuel Kajal Jalula has paid visit the scene and the hospital to see his condition.

The police has since denied the media confirmation to the story as they are still investigating the issue.
