Oti: Okadjakrom SHTS climaxed SRC Week Celebrations.

The Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School (OKASTECH) today Saturday, May 20 2023 celebrated its annual SRC Week, which was a resounding success. The week-long event featured various activities, including float, fundraising, talent shows, and awareness campaigns, among others.
The Hon. Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buem Constituency, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, sent a representative, Mr. Johnson Tsyawo a Tutor at the Jasikan College of Education (JASICO), he double as a Constituency Executive Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to deliver an address on his behalf during the grand durbar. In his speech, he praised the dedication and commitment of the school's SRC and entire student body, describing their efforts as "exemplary" and a testament to the spirit of unity, creativity, and leadership that thrive within the OKASTECH community.
The MP also highlighted the essential roles of SRCs in the growth and development of academic institutions, one of which was advocacy for students' rights and interests. He noted that the student leaders of the 21st century should see themselves as partners in development and employ proper dialogue and procedural problem-solving approaches to ensure students' ultimate beneficiaries of their efforts.
Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams also commended the school's authorities for prioritizing the security and protection of the school grounds by constructing a main security gate to safeguard the students and secure their academic environment. He advised that when the ongoing litigation for the school lands is settled, the whole school land should be walled for the secure and protected environment.
The MP highlighted the importance of creativity and leadership development, urging the student leaders to explore new ideas, pool talents together, and be ambassadors of the cause of development beyond the confines of their school walls. He called on local businesses, the community, and alumni networks to support and partner with the school in its developmental endeavors.
In conclusion, Mr. Johnson Tsyawo thanked the school's authorities, staff, students, and invited guests for the privilege to address them on the momentous occasion. He urged them to embrace the spirit of unity, generosity, and determination as they work towards their shared goal of opening the gates to a brighter, safer, and more secure future for Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School.
The Hon. Member of Parliament, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, has been deeply involved in some interventions in OKASTECH, despite not completing his secondary education in the school. The MP pledged his total commitment and support to all developmental and academic interventions and programs taking place in the school, associating himself with the school's core values of unity, creativity, and leadership development. As a form of support, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams donated 20 bags of cement towards the construction of the main school gate.
Indeed, the Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School's SRC Week celebration was a resounding success, and the school authorities and student body must continue to prioritize the security and protection of the school's academic environment to ensure a conducive atmosphere for growth and development.
