Oti: Krachi Municipal Assembly supports PWDs.

 58 people living with disabilities and LWDs have received support from the Krachi West Municipal Assembly.

Speaking to Asaase news, the MCE, Hon. Jalulah said, the presented items were based on the request the PWDs made through an application to the municipal Assembly to help enhance their livelihood.

Some of the items are chest Freezers, sewing Machines, Stationaries, and other items that will add value to their lives.

According to the MCE, the Assembly has identified the potential in many of the persons with disabilities within the municipality and therefore allocated an opportunity for them to apply for the things they need to be given to them.

The MCE Hon. Emmanuel Kajal Jalula also assured the PWDs that the assembly will support them and give them the supports they need to make their lives better. He again told them that, there would be periodic visits to the beneficiaries to ensure the items given were in use to make informed decisions going forward.

He also used the medium to advise the beneficiaries to use the items wisely and not to sell them which will affect future generations.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Asaase News were thankful to the Assembly and promised to make use of the items to support themselves and their family.

Meanwhile, The second batch of PWDs will also receive theirs when their items are made available by the Assembly.
