Adidome:Global Child Development Centre donates desks to Schools.

On October 2, 2024, the Adidome Global Child Development Centre made a significant contribution to the educational landscape of Adidome Central Tongu by donating 190 desks to 11 basic schools in the area. 

This generous gesture aims to enhance the learning environment and empower over 1,000 students to reach their full potential.

Ceremony Highlights

The donation ceremony, held at the G.E.C Adidome Parish Auditorium, was graced by distinguished guests, traditional leaders, teachers, students, and community members. Mrs. Charlotte B-Baidoo, Director of the Global Child Development Center, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of education as the backbone of development.

Rev. Israel Kwasi Ahalie's Address

Rev. Israel Kwasi Ahalie, Church Partner Pastor, highlighted the Global Evangelical Church's commitment to social action, including building schools, hospitals, and distributing wheelchairs. He acknowledged the partnership with Compassion International Ghana, which funded the procurement of the desks, office tables, and chairs valued at GHC 72,925.

Beneficiary Schools

The 11 beneficiary schools received the following donations:

- Methodist Primary: 10 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- Methodist Junior High: 10 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- R.C Primary: 10 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- R.C Junior High: 10 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- D/A Primary: 12 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- D/A Junior High: 10 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- Awakpedome Primary: 10 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- E.P Primary: 15 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- E.P Junior High: 15 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- Global Primary: 56 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

- Global Junior High: 32 desks, 1 teacher's table, and 1 chair

Appreciation and Commitment

Representatives from the Central Tongu District Education Office and beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to the Global Child Development Center and Compassion International Ghana. They pledged to utilize the resources effectively, maintain them with care, and ensure academic excellence.
