
MCE Hon. Safo Nketia Spearheads Development in Krachi East.

Krachi East Municipality, May 19, 2025 - The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East, Hon. Safo Nketia, has taken significant strides in enhancing healthcare and infrastructure in the municipality. Accompanied by Member of Parliament Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab, Hon. Nketia cut sod for the construction of a state-of-the-art Maternity Ward at the Asukawkaw Health Centre.
The project, facilitated by the Lordina Foundation, aims to improve health infrastructure in less developed communities across Ghana. The ceremony drew support from assembly members, local chiefs, and opinion leaders, ensuring a successful event. This development is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services in the municipality.
Following the inauguration, Hon. Nketia and Hon. Djabab inspected the Asukawkaw bridge, a vital link connecting Krachi East to southern Ghana. Recognizing the urgent need for repairs, they assured local chiefs and elders that restoration work would commence shortly to enhance the bridge's structural safety.
In a bid to promote peace and unity within the Asukawkaw community, Hon. Safo Nketia, alongside representatives from the Ghana Police Service and the municipal assembly, paid a courtesy visit to local chiefs and leaders. An ad hoc committee was established to facilitate a calm and permanent resolution to ongoing issues.
