Speaker Bagbin Assures Santrokofi Traditional Area of Support for Technical School
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has assured the Santrokofi Traditional Area of his support for the establishment of a vocational and technical training school to enhance educational opportunities in the area.
The assurance was given during a courtesy call by traditional rulers from the Santrokofi Traditional Area, who appealed for assistance in addressing the community's longstanding educational challenges. According to the chiefs, the area has been without a senior high school for decades, limiting access to secondary and technical education for many young people.
Responding to the appeal, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin reaffirmed the government's commitment to expanding educational infrastructure across the country and emphasized the vital role of technical and vocational education in national development. He pledged to use the avenues available to him to support the realization of the proposed school.
The establishment of the vocational and technical training institution is expected to provide practical skills training, create opportunities for the youth, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Santrokofi Traditional Area and its surrounding communities.
